Salsa and Peaches!

This was my first attempt ever at salsa. After several comments from Greg that I had failed as a domestic type wife, I decided to give it a shot. With the help from Nancy it turned out great! Greg and the girls got involved and by bedtime the house smelled of sumptious salsa!

Millions of peaches, peaches for me!

We did 36 quarts of peaches and then three frozen bags full! We had peaches everywhere, so yummy. Now I need to make some peach pies, peach shakes, peach bread, ok you get the idea!

The first leg that Greg got to ride was a bit of a disappointment, he got three flats, to bad. But he was all ready to have a great last ride! Go Greg!

By some miracle we all arrived in Alpine at the same time, so I got to see him take off on the last leg of the race.

What a doll! Sydney insisted her first day of school picture be taken on her favorite bike! Sam got a bigger bike and Sydney has been stuck like glue to her "new" bike! She calls her school the "tiny" school and Sam's school the "Big" school! She already won't let me walk her in and loves homework (for now) and especially her backpack. She is a good girl :)

First day of ballet and tap! We found a perfect dance studio and Sam is more than excited to be learning ballet and tap. There was nothing quite so cute as watching that girl and all those tights and leotards!

Bear Lake! We spent some good times here this year with Chad and Nancy's family one time and then Brett and Kirstin and Mom and Dad. The crazy biking boys in our lives think that it is fun to bike there from Huntsville. They made it safe and sound both times and that is all that I care about. Birthday Opera night!

Speaking of Greg out doing himself he really did this time! He got me Opera tickets for my Birthday! But before we got to go to the opera he decided to crash on his newly purchased road bike. He flew 30 feet after hitting a guard rail, cracking his helmet 7 times and beating up his body really good. So here we are enjoying the opera 3 days after the accident. He was really uncomfortable but a total sweet heart to take me.

I was just happy that I still fit in my Jr. Prom dress, it wasn't too outdated and fun to play dress up!

This year was a most memorable Birthday for Greg. From midnight to 5:30 am Greg stayed with his crazy wife in the ER. I will leave out all the details of screaming and delerious pain, but it was all due to a tinsy tiny kidney stone. So needless to say I was in bed all day on his Birthday and thanks to a great sister in law Nancy he managed to get a delicious cake. She also watched my girls so they didn't go neglected all day, thank you Nancy from all of us! Here are the girls staying busy with Nancy.

She is here at last! When they told me that I could be induced at 39 weeks, I was so ready! So that morning they broke my water and 4 hours later Oaklee Reese Bell was born. She was a big girl at 9 pounds 7 ounces and 21 1/2 inched long. Lots of black hair that I am sure will fall out and be blonde, oh well. She is definitely a Bell and the girls are so happy to have her here :)

Lava Hot Springs

This summer was camping summer! We went to Moab, Ogden Valley, and Lava Hot Springs! Our awesome neighbors the Teuscher's have property there and it is gorgeous. Here we are at the pools and natural hot springs. I wished that I wasn't prego, I really wanted to get in, but my feet stayed nice and toasty!

This was a really, really, high diving board! Everyone thought that Greg was crazy for diving head first, what a nut!

So here is the story. We have had this old coffee table in our basement and mostly it has been used for the girls toys to go on, or as a substitute office chair, we really need a desk chair. So as I was up late one night working on the computer, I was sitting on this table. Not in the center or anything, but on the edge. When CRACK! I was up and then I was in the center of the table on the floor! I was so shocked I hurried and got up, thankfully no blood, and went to see if the girls were still asleep because it made a massive noise! I got lots of bruises, and laughed really hard. I have never felt so fat in all my pregnant or non pregnant days. Delivery needs to happen soon before I break something else!

Life is messy and crazy and busy and beautiful. We are having a great summer and life is good. I such a slacker with the blogging these days but I have commited to catch up! So here goes! For those of you who didn't hear Greg got laid off his job at Williams and was unemployed for 3 months. He is now gainfully employed with Boeing and loving it!

I am still expecting our third baby, a girl, yes yes we know, on October 5th. It can't get here soon enough, I am HUGE!

Samantha is entering a way fun age and we are loving her to bits, she is still full of sass but now we can tease her out of most her crazy fits, yeah!

Sydney is still a total love and tease, but yes she has entered the terrible twos and is trying every last shred of patience that we have with her, so fun!

Overall we are the same crazy Bell's. We have been to movies, parks, pools, zoo, parties, and parades this summer and hopefully I can catch up on all of it, here goes nothin'!

Hoggle Zoo

Play date time! The ladies in my area are tons of fun and arranged for a play date to the zoo. It was delightful. The animals were all out and interesting to watch, better than hiding in their cages.

Here are all the kids that toddled along with us all day and were great troopers! Fun kids and awesome Mom's.

He was so soft and pretty, too bad they are so aggressive.

The zebras are great creatures, I think that the ones in Michigan have a much better home though, it really is true.

Our last stop was the hippos, and then happy girls turned into monsters, which then turned into sleeping monsters on the way home and that was sooo nice, peace at last.

Pioneer Day Camping

Ward Campout! Being in charge of the ward activities has it's benefits and this was one of them. We had a great ward campout this year. We stayed at Cobble Creek in the South Fork canyon and it was beautiful. I think we got the best place in the whole canyon. The girls loved camping and especially the river.

Sam and Sydney found these tiny cats in the river and that was the coolest. Thanks to whoever left them behind :)

Sydney was my river bug and could have stayed there all day, forever. I love that my girls will camp with us and sleep in a tent and be pretty happy about it.

Lagoon Day!

Lagoon! The girls 1st time! It was an adventure. We went with our great neighbors the Teuscher's and had a ball. We started at Lagoona Beach and then hit the rides.

Sam was so very adventurous and tried just about everything we asked her to. She still is talking about these whales.

This makes me nervous for when they are 16! Eyes on the road!

After a hot day I couldn't take it anymore and joined the kids in the water, I was sooooooo hot, it felt great.

4th of July!

The 4th was fun. We spent the night of the 3rd in my parents backyard for some real outdoor camping :) Woke up and ate breakfast with the fine folks of Eden, Ut. Then headed to Huntsville for a parade and pony rides :) I am sure you are wondering where my camera was....me too! Then we ended with a blast in Riverdale with Chad and Nanc and kids for fireworks!

BEES GAME!!!

It wouldn't be summer without a baseball game. Unfortunately this is the only one that we have made it to. It was great, it rained and rained and rained! Lucky we were under the upper level so we stayed nice and dry and watched everyone else run for cover. The Bees pulled out a win and we were all happy.

Sam got to meet Bumble the Bee and was thrilled. Greg didn't want to get wet so the picture is really far away :)

Program and Birthday Celebration

After Greg lost his job he had plenty of time on his hands to put to good use. He finished the crawl spce of our house. Two rooms are for storage and the middle one is a playroom for the kids.

Sam was a very meticulous painter and loved helping Daddy. We all got to help. Greg did most everything, I tectured the ceiling, and Sam and Sydney helped paint :)

Samantha is now 4! She is so dang funny about it too, she will tell us that she can do things just because she is 4, like do dishes, reach things that are far away, what a nut!

She had a great day. Some of her favorite friends came to play before the family party, no parents allowed.

A balerina cake was requested, so here it is. I hunted all morning for those pretty balerinas!

So as a welcome home present Greg got ot rip up all the old carpet to prepare for the new! We are soooooo happy :)

The tree spent a few days in the kitchen, we were so glad when it was all done and had our house back to normal.

Thanks Tyrel! Here is the new stuff, the picture does not do it justice but it is so soft and so beautiful. Sydney lays down and loves how soft it is. Merry Christmas us.

Greg was missed! The girls were so happy to have their Daddy home. He brought them home these cute dolls, and me a pretty swim suit cover for when I get to go with him some day. Our week without him was adventurous, but we were oh so glad to have him back!

Mexico Man

So Greg left his three lovely girls and headed for Mexico for a week to "work." This is him hard at it, lounging on the beach toes in the sand. Actually he was bummed with his lack of work, the trucks hauling his equipment were late. That left him with plenty of time to fill with this.....

This is when they were on their sunset margaritta cruise. Cool dolphins!

The most wonderful time of year and one of my most favorite things of Christmas, the tree!

Greg always does the lights and he makes me do the ornaments.

Samantha was the best helper and loved the tree as much as me!

Finished product, we loved it. Sydney and Samantha play around it everyday. The ornaments are never in the same place the nexty day :)

Here it is the 1st of December and still no snow. The girls were happy because they got to play on their swings longer. Today was big for Sam, she learned to pump and swing all by herself way to go!

Samantha found some of the things that I purchased on "Black Friday" she was thrilled with her new hat and gloves. Sydney has a matching set and they are the cutest snow bunnies around. Now we need some snow***

Thanksgiving was awesome! We spent the day at my parents, Grandma and Grandpa Spencer. The food was delicious, the company great, and of course the horse riding was a highlight.

Later that night I plotted my early morning shopping. I found some great sale items that I wanted and could not pass up. I have never got up at 3:30 a.m. to go JC Penny's but there is always a first. The shopping was exciting and productive, we are all done with Christmas shopping, wa hoooo!

Hey ya old man! Greg turned 30 this year, wow! He spent the day just the way he wanted, he came home early from work, relaxed, played some video games, and ate his favorite dinner lasagna. He did have some responsibilities with the young men, then we came home and ate yummy cake and ice cream. We love you Dad, you're the BEST!!!

Halloween in Utah

We made it! We arrived in Utah just in time to celebrate Halloween with family and friends. The girls were darling (of course) Sam was the beautiful Sleeping Beauty and Sydney was a squeezable ladybug, and yes Greg was the orangutan! He got some great stares and scares :)

Post Office humor

Today I went to the post office to forward our mail to UT. Upon arriving there was a rather attentive mailman right at the door. He asked me if I wanted to use the automated system and I kindly told him I just needed to fill out a change of address form. He then told me all that I needed to do, even though the instructions were clearly printed on the form. He then was telling me that the mail would take 7 days to be forwarded to our Utah address. I found him pretty entertaining and thanked him for his help. When the form was filled out and we were ready to leave Samantha took my hand and said...
"It doesn't take that long to get to Utah, that man was silly, lets go to another Post Office." I laughed so hard! She was listening pretty close, funny, girl :)

This week has been the week of packing. It has been funny to watch the girls part with their things. They unload the boxes as fast as I pack them, not so easy. Now most of the house is ready with the excpetion of a few things. All will be on its way to Utah on Monday. It is so crazy that time has gone by so fast. I will be so happy when everything is packed so I can enjoy my girls again, instead of cleaning and boxing. Wish me luck and see some of you soon :)

We had a great time painting the pumpkins, but the girls were more fun :)
