On to Bronners...

The scenery was so beautiful, this is the view from the other side of the bridge.

Sweet tired Sydney
Yay, for the Christmas store! Bronners is the worlds largest Christmas store.
It was breath taking, and overwhelming. Lets just say that we weren't able to make it all the way through the whole store.
Crazy bunch, and by the look on Sam's face you can tell it is getting time to go :) We scored some nice things, we got some stockings, tree topper, and ornaments. Good day.
It was about an hour drive from our apartment to get to Frankenmuth and about a two or three hour drive home. Why? We got lost, took a wrong turn. It was pretty hilarious. The girls weren't amused and neither was Greg really. Lets just say we saw some amazing country side and braved the notorious city of Flint :) Good times.

More Highlights

Here they are in Little Bo Peeps garden
These two are the cutest curly heads ever.
Pretty Samantha
Loved this haus, ha ha ha
One of my personal favorite stops, fudge factory. It was fun to see how it all comes together and it was sure delicious.

Silly Shots

Cheesy Steph

Bottoms up.
This is for those of you who know and love the true Greg :)
Cute faces

Frankenmuth

I saw this nice horse and buggie and thought of my Dad, so here ya go Dad.

We cruised around this outdoor market and got a pretty cool color box for the girls, so fun.
Izzy and Sam :)
What a cute Dad
Here we are waiting to go to lunch at the Bavarian Inn

Frankenmuth Fun!

There is the most picturesque town called Frankenmuth. It literally feels like you are in Germany, the food, buildings, and music were all authentic.

Fun covered bridge
Inside the cool covered bridge.
And the beautiful view of the river.

For history buffs you can read what Frankenmuth is all about.

Letter Wall

Letter of the day wall! Over the time that we have been here we have been working on letters with Sam. She had a great time and now knows all her letters. She loves to sound out words and tell us what words start with. Sydney joined in the fun and her favorite letter is D! Now that we are finally finished we are going to work on numbers, days of the week and months.
Silly Sam : }

Hey there cutie.

Apple Crisp, yummm

We made some yummy apple crisp for Sunday dessert. Everyone helped and it was pretty fun
Hey baby!
Greg had more patience chopping apples
Samantha made the crispy part with me :)
And I did the rest!

Finished, it was delicious, I bet you are all jealous!

New Bike!

Samantha has a new big girl bike! After a lot of practice on her tricycle she was feeling ready to advance. That and her legs were too long for the tiny bike! Sydney is excited too, this means she can have the red tri-cylce all the herself, wa hoo! It was a great day. Sam rode her bike right up to the checkout stand, then out to the car, she felt so big.

Love all the pads, what a safe little bug.
Happy girls :)
Yeah! It is all mine!

We Have News...

No, I am not pregnant... But, we are coming home!!! We just got news from Greg's work that we will be coming home on October 27th!!!! We are so excited, yes we will be sad too, but there is a life waiting for us in Utah and we are excited to get back to it. We have had an incredible time out here and have made priceless memories and learned tons about each other. I hope that our blog has been good evidence that we have loved being here and getting to know Michigan and the surrounding states. The friends we have here are awesome and it will be hard to say goodbye for who knows how long. Sam doesn't want to leave her best buddy Izzy or her fun Primary class. We remind her of her family and friends at home and she still gets excited. Well that is about all I have to say, other than I am stoked to move back into my house and be home for Halloween! Happy day :) Love you all!

Choo choo!

The play area was lots of fun! It had a zip line, train and barn you could play in and much more. The best part was after all the fun we got free homemade doughnuts and apple cider, delicious. We had an awesome time there and will return soon so we can go pumpkin picking!

Peek
A
Boo!
What a cute pair of bums, see ya later :)

More fun at the orchard

Not only was the orchard awesome but there was plenty to do at the mill. Playground, face paint, and animals :)
Sam was so happy with her carousel horse :)

Sydney loved the animals best and would laugh so cute.
Hey rooster! They really liked him :)

Apples!

There were apples of all varieties, Gala, Macintosh, golden delicious, yummy!
We picked a peck of apples! They were dwarf trees so the kids could easily reach, what fun.
Picking and eating was the best part :)
A peck of apples, is a TON of apples! Now I am trying to think of all the many ways we can use our apples.. apple crisp, apple pie, applesauce, apple cake.... any other ideas? I could use ideas and recipes!

Spicers Orchard

This was an awesome cider mill and orchard that we heard about and knew we had to visit. They took us on a free hay ride out to the orchards. Our first stop was raspberries!

It was a beautiful day and the berries were delicious.
What a beauty! She was in charge of carrying the berries, good job babe.
Little Sydney loved picking them and then squishing them, yumm.

Open wide Daddy, here come the berries.

Ready to go...

Sweet little sprout!
I am not the best at doing my girls soft curly hair but I was feeling motivated. They turned out pretty cute.
Silly faces!

Happy Labor Day!

Well we celebrated Labor Day as most do, playing! We played in the pool and then headed to a ward picnic for some food and fun.

Sam is getting braver all the time with the water and we have loved our pool!
Goofy Sydney is looking her best, nice hair!
